Muay Thai has been designated as by far the most effective striking art in the world as it has been tested in competition and real-life situations for hundreds of years. So, if you’re looking for a martial art that has practical uses in the real world, then Muay Thai is your answer.
Muay Thai is a martial art unlike any other. It uses knees, elbows, shins, and hands; enabling the practitioner to use all available weapons within the kicking range, punching range, and the clinch, making it effective in all ranges of standup fighting unlike most other striking based martial arts.
While there are hundreds of different techniques in Muay Thai, it is also a martial art known for its raw simplicity. This makes it great for everyone: men, women and children. And while our classes begin at 4yrs old, no matter your age or fitness level, there’s a Muay Thai class that will work for you.
Muay Thai is also one of the few martial arts in the world that has been undeniably battle-tested and street certified for real-life encounters. Although widely regarded as a striking based martial art, Muay Thai also contains throwing techniques, locks, and using an opponent’s own momentum.
Muay Thai promotes competition-level fitness and toughness for recreational practitioners. Running, jumping rope, and shadowboxing provide an aerobic workout, whereas high intensity pad and bag work provide an anaerobic workout by improving strength, dexterity, and cardiovascular performance.
Muay Thai is the standard for a perfect total body workout, as it is more than a martial art with the ability to help you burn 1,000 calories in an hour. It is a fun and efficient way to burn fat and build your core, flexibility, and overall strength. It gives you the ability to take your health to the next level.
The art of Muay Thai toughens your mind, body, and spirit. It's good for your confidence and inner strength, as it enhances your physical conditioning and promotes discipline of the mind through the ability to control and manage your emotions.
Muay Thai has become one of the key foundations of the popular sport of mixed martial arts (MMA). Some of MMA’s greatest competitors use the art as their main striking base; giving competitors many tools to use during the course of a match.
One of the biggest misinterpretations of Muay Thai is that it is just a sport of violence. But like many martial arts, it also cultivates important values that are rooted in rich tradition. It has the power to humble, discipline, also inspire. It instills qualities like courage, humility, integrity and a warrior spirit.

We have three core beliefs at POWER. We believe that every kid who comes through our doors is divine by nature (there are no "bad" kids). We believe that every kid has the ability to create their own reality (they are not who society tells them they are. They are who they believe themselves to be). Lastly, we believe that every kid has the responsibility to serve (their community, their family, and themselves).
We use "authoritative patience" with our kids. Meaning, we encourage kids to be kids. But when it's time to focus, we focus. We also use a "praise correct praise" methodology. Prior to being corrected for any skill, a kid will first hear what they are doing well, followed by the correction, followed by what they are doing well. Lastly, we use our "associative anchoring" technique to teach life-lessons. Challenges faced in class are used as metaphors to overcome challenges in life. Associating a class lesson with a life lesson enables them to better anchor the lesson in their memory to make good choices when they are faced with those situations in life. Most importantly, we want kids to have fun while learning.
